We had the special. 4 corn dogs and 1 stick item. We chose the French fries and I ordered a small churros container. We shared a large lemonade and it was perfect.
Hot Dog on a Stick is a staple at the mall. I usually opt for the original turkey hotdog and fries. The hotdogs, with their hand-dipped style, are a highlight, and the fries are reliably salty and crispy. The regular fries are huge, served in a large cup, plenty to share. They serve fresh squeezed lemonade, regular or diet. This location is clean and efficient. Conveniently there is a kid's adventure area close by so it's easy to enjoy the food and watch my daughter at the same time. It's good food at a good price. A solid choice every time.
It warms my heart to still find HDOS at the Arden Mall. It's almost nostalgic. Shopping this past weekend and when I passed by the food court and spotted this gem, I was like, oh wow! It still exists. And what a deal! Two cheese sticks for under $8. Can't beat it. Still one of my favorite comfort foods to snag during retail therapy. Thank you to Ashley G. for your service!
Almost got out the mall without my guilty pleasure but didn't make it! Stopped by my nostalgic, childhood favorite for a veggie dog and a pepper jack dog. I like lots of ice in my drinks and April hooked me up...with a smile. Nancy was my hotdog maestro. When my order was ready, Nancy was nice enough to point out which corndog was which. I was going to ask as I like to enjoy the pepper jack dog while it's still creamy and hot, so that was really thoughtful of her. Nice, friendly crew here. It was really busy (Saturday late afternoon), but they functioned as a team and knocked those orders out back to back. Thanks Nancy and April!
Hot dog on a stick is the epitome of mall food. The beef corn dog and original lemonade are my faves. They use quality Nathan's all beef dogs. They even have turkey and veggie dogs. But if you prefer cheesy gooey corn dogs, you are in luck. They have 3 choices. American, spicy jack, and mozzarella. The corn dogs are fried deliciousness. Fresh battered and fried on the spot. They even have Original fresh squeezed lemonade, or I should say fresh stomped. It is the real deal of California lemons and cane sugar, no high fructose corn syrup here. They have 3 flavors. I have never had any issues with the staff here. They have all been gracious and kind even when the customers are not. But to be honest, I only frequent this place around 2-3 times a year and never during the holidays. The food stand is not in the food court though. It is next to Johnny Rockets, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Wetzels Pretzels, and a bakery sandwich stand. So you can imagine this section of the mall is always a bit crowded. There are a few communal standing tables, but not enough.
